Director: Dr Anna Jerzewska

Our director, Dr Anna Jerzewska, is a globally recognized customs and international trade advisor working in trade since 2006. She has a combination of private sector, policy and academic experience. In recent years her main reoccurring clientele have been the United Nations’ International Trade Centre, British Chambers of Commerce, and assorted private sector firms and governments. She is an Associate Fellow of The UK Trade Policy Observatory (UKTPO).

Dr Jerzewska has worked as a customs consultant for three of the big 4 advisory firms: PwC, EY and KPMG in London, where she advised clients on a wide range of global trade and customs issues. Prior to that, Anna worked as a management consultant advising on digitalization and operating model optimization. What sets her apart is her combination of extensive theoretical knowledge with years of practical experience in delivering solutions for real firms facing real problems.

Dr Jerzewka holds a PhD degree in international political economy. Her research focused on trade agreements in the East Asian region, integrated supply chains, rules of origin and utilization of preferential tariffs. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Waseda and a visiting lecturer at Keio University in Tokyo.

Anna is of then called upon to provide evidence on trade and customs in front of the UK Parliament and often appears in the media, including the Financial Times and BBC. She is a published author – her first publication, a chapter in a book about modern Japan, was published in 2004.
